Verdict

Scarlet Runner, Sirens Gift and Silk Blossom are all worth consideration here with Scarlet Runner taken to win again. Sirens Gift scored at Beverley after a couple of promising efforts and traner Andrew Balding has always held his charge in high esteem. She ran well to be a close fourth in the Molecomb Stakes and has a reasonable chance here. A winner at Newmarket on her debut, Silk Blossom ran well to be runner up in a Group Three at Royal Ascot and although disappointing slightly next time in the Cherry Hinton she has to be considered. Scarlet Runner has a progressive profile, scoring in the Princess Margaret Stakes, a Group Three affair on her latest start. That was her second win, and although she is yet to prove she handles a soft surface, her class may see her through. Scarlet Runner is the selection.
