Verdict

DESERT DIAMOND (NAP) won a decent handicap over course and distance on her Turf debut in May and then ran fourth in the Sandringham at Ascot. She couldn’t quite reel in Awesometank on her first try in this grade at Sandown but the return to a longer trip will suit and Sir Michael Stoute’s filly looks the one to be on. Rasima is useful but, though she has won on Turf, her best efforts so far have come on Tapeta including her latest third in a Group 3 at Newcastle behind a stablemate of the selection. Singyoursong is definitely better on the all-weather while Stage Name has yet to show she is capable at this level. Pleasant Surprise will do well to get competitive following a lengthy absence.
