Verdict

Times Up has been a standing dish in pattern race company for a very long time and has three Group 2 victories to his credit and won this in 2011. Clever Cookie completed a hat-trick of victories when dead-heating in this a year ago and has picked up a Group 3 penalty for his success in Chester's Ormonde Stakes where he had Big Orange a long way behind. The latter had Odeon well beaten when landing a Listed race over this trip at Ascot in October. Elidor returned from Dubai to land a competitive handicap over this trip at Newmarket and his close third in last year's Ebor point to his chances as he had Clever Cookie 3l behind. WAKEA is improving and was by no means disgraced in the Sagaro Stakes at Ascot when Thursday's Group 3 winner Vent De Force finished runner-up. Jeremy Noseda's charge can prove good enough before going on to bigger things.
