Pittsburgh Steelers will look to Michael Vick for new leadership as they attempt to pile more pain on the Baltimore Ravens.

The Steelers are set to bring in Vick to replace injured quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for the visit of the Ravens to Heinz Field in the early hours of Friday, live on Sky Sports.

Roethlisberger is facing a spell on the sidelines after injuring his knee in Sunday's 12-6 win over St Louis Rams, opening the door for Vick to make a rare start against the winless Ravens (0-3), who are enduring their worst ever start to a season.

Baltimore have received a major injury setback of their own, with star linebacker Terrell Suggs ruled out for the campaign after suffering an Achilles injury in the week one 19-13 defeat by Denver Broncos.

The weakened Ravens have since suffered successive defeats to Oakland Raiders and Cincinnati Bengals, which saw them concede 65 points and 723 passing yards.

Vick hopes to exploit Baltimore's defensive frailty if he is handed a starting role by the Steelers.

"This is a great opportunity for me because I don't know if I'm going to have this opportunity ever again," the 35-year-old told ESPN.

"Just a month ago I wasn't signed with a team. Now, I feel like I have a chance to go out and play freely and go out and enjoy the game, enjoy this moment, enjoy being out there with my team-mates."

There is increasing pressure on opposing quarterback Joe Flacco, who must somehow end his side's miserable streak, and he has thrown two touchdowns in the last two games, but also gave up an interception in each.

Receiver Steve Smith has been a rare positive for the Ravens, collecting 23 passes for 336 yards in the last two games.

But Pittsburgh possess their own potent receiver in Antonio Brown, who is currently second in the NFL with 536 receiving yards, while running back Le'Veon Bell ran for a score on his return from suspension against the Rams.

Watch the Baltimore Ravens at the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1.25am this Friday, live on Sky Sports 1.
