Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin has undergone arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to alleviate soreness that plagued him during the final weeks of the season.
The Pistons revealed Griffin had the successful procedure in Los Angeles and he is not expected to miss any offseason training or preparation for the 2019/20 season.
Griffin missed the first two games of Detroit's first-round playoff series against the Milwaukee Bucks, which the Pistons lost 4-0.
The 30-year-old produced his best season in years as he became the first Pistons player in history to post averages of 24-plus points, seven-plus rebounds and five-plus assists during the regular season.
Griffin, who earned his sixth All-Star appearance in February, made a career-high 189 three-pointers as the Pistons reached the playoffs for just the second time in 10 seasons.
Having been traded to the Pistons by the Los Angeles Clippers midway through last season, Griffin still has three seasons remaining on his current contract.
