BBL Championship: Leeds claim surprise win at Sheffield

Leeds Force made a flying start to the year as they shocked Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Sharks to claim a 62-60 victory at EIS Sheffield in their BBL Championship game on Friday evening.
The Sharks went into the game on a run of five straight league wins, and they also claimed a comfortable success the last time the teams met back in December.
They looked set to extend that run when Mike Tuck connected on a looping three-pointer to give them a 60-58 advantage with 48 seconds to play.
But James McCann profited from a Sharks turnover to come up with a big triple that saw Leeds edge in front with just 18 seconds remaining.
Atiba Lyons' men could not conjure a response in the closing moments as Force held on to halt their run of three consecutive defeats.
Leeds debutant Sam Attah, signed earlier in the week from Durham Wildcats, scored a game-high 21 points as Force recorded their fourth league win of the season.
Sheffield now have an 8-7 record and remain sixth in the table, despite 18 points from Nick Lewis.
