NBA: Jimmy Butler top-scores for Chicago Bulls in six-point win over NY Knicks

Jimmy Butler scored a career-high 35 points and added seven assists as the Bulls saw off the Knicks 103-97 in Chicago.
The victorious hosts, who are top of the Central Division in the Eastern Conference, had to play without guard Derrick Rose who was sick, while the Knicks were unable to call on injured Carmelo Anthony.
Pau Gasol added 20 points for the Bulls while Tim Hardaway led New York with 23 points.

Elsewhere, New Orleans won 99-90 in Houston where Anthony Davis was the hero for the Pelicans.
In a superb all-round performance Davis netted 30 points with 14 rebounds while adding five blocks and two steals although they remain bottom of the Southwest Division of the Western Conference with a respectable win-loss record of 13-12 (.520).
And in the closest match of the evening, Milwaukee edged out Sacramento by a single point in California (108-107).
Zaza Pachulia knocked down one of two free throws with just 6.5 seconds left, as he grabbed the offensive rebound from guard Jerryd Bayless.
DeMarcus Cousins finished with a game-high 27 points in his first action this calendar month.
