Karl-Anthony Towns threw down a huge dunk en route to scoring 41 points as the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Towns connected on 15 of his 27 shots, including 3-of-5 from three-point range, to lead the Timberwolves to a 131-120 triumph. He also pulled down 14 rebounds and supplied two steals.
His highlight play of the night came with 2:32 left in the third quarter. The T-Wolves were already in control, leading 97-82, when Towns received the ball just beyond the three-point arc.
Thunder center Steven Adams had come out to the perimeter to guard him but failed in his attempt to intercept Derrick Rose's pass to Towns.
That mistake opened up a driving lane to the Oklahoma City hoop and Towns did not need a second invitation, taking one dribble and two huge strides before rising high above Thunder help defender Jerami Grant and ramming home a vicious right-handed slam.
