Frankie Gavin has been forced to pull out of his welterweight showdown with Sam Eggington after suffering a foot injury.
The pair were scheduled to meet in an all-Birmingham clash at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham on October 17.
Eggington was due to put his British, Commonwealth and WBC international silver welterweight titles on the line against Gavin, who was set to return to action following his world title defeat to Kell Brook in May.
However, Gavin is now unable to make the fight and a new opponent for Eggington will be announced in due course.
The 30-year-old wrote on Twitter: "Sorry to say I have had to pull [out] of my fight. I got ran over two and a half weeks ago and had to weeks of training (sic).
"Thinking it would heal but it hasn't so I have had to pull out, it's getting better but I won't be able to fight in 2 weeks.
"Hopefully the fight can happen again some stage in the future. I hope to be back in the ring sometime in November/December."
Matchroom Boxing tweeted: "Frankie Gavin has been ruled out of his clash with Sam Eggington with a foot injury - further news and new opponent coming shortly."
The all-Birmingham showdown was heading the bill at the Barclaycard Arena, live on Sky Sports, on October 17, with fellow Midlanders Matthew Macklkin facing Jason Welborn over 12 rounds and the talented young Yafai brothers in action.
Kal fights Jason Cunningham for the vacant British super-flyweight title with brother Gamal looking for his eighth straight professional win.
