Carl Frampton vs Scott Quigg: Dressing room row resolved
Saturday 27 February 2016 22:30, UK
Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg have resolved their dressing room row as neither super-bantamweight will be given the prime location at the Manchester Arena.
IBF champion Frampton and WBA Super champion Quigg had both demanded the 'home' dressing room for tonight's world title unification clash, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
But an agreement has been reached, just hours before the first bell, which will mean the two fighters will make their preparations elsewhere.
This decision has dispelled an earlier suggestion that Frampton's manager Barry McGuigan had allowed local man Quigg to take the largest changing room.
Official medical staff, including the drug testing unit, will instead use this space at the venue.
Speaking on Friday, Quigg's promoter Eddie Hearn had admitted that he wanted the disagreement to 'drag on to 5pm'.
"I would like this to drag onto 5pm to be honest with you, because they are rattled," Hearn told Sky Sports News HQ.
"I think it's quite funny. It's not going to jeopardise the fight at all in my opinion. They can threaten it to and we'll see. I find it quite amusing."
