Standing in his way is the slick Londoner Skeete, who has enjoyed success at European level of late but is keen to regain the belts he lost to Frankie Gavin (on points) in his sole defeat back in November 2014.
With the contrasting styles of the headliners expected to produce an exciting fight, a solid undercard features two more local lads - brothers Kal and Gamai Yafai - challenging Dixon Flores and Bobby Jenkinson respectively.

Sam Eggington admits Bradley Skeete will be a tough opponent on Saturday as he has an awkward elusive style
I have seen Sam fight and I know what he is all about so I know there will be times I will need to fight and at times I will need to box. It is a big arena, a headline fight, and I am expecting a good, hard fight.

What the undercard fighters say
I will be getting a shot at the Japanese lad, Kono, so I obviously want to do a job on Saturday and look good doing it.
It's going to be a great fight. I can box him, I can fight him and he can only fight really - and he is open when he does that. He is vulnerable when he punches so it's going to be a good fight.
What the promoter says
British title fights are always passionate and compelling. The styles make it intriguing. I think it'll be a really interesting fight.
What the expert says
Bradley Skeete is a lovely boxer with nice, quick hands, punches hard enough to get your respect and I just think if he can stick to the tactics and not get caught, he should nick this on points.
