Tyrone Nurse aims to derail Willie Limond's plans

Tyrone Nurse has vowed to derail Willie Limond's bid to regain the British super-lightweight crown and send the Scot into retirement.
Nurse will put his belt on the line for the first time when he faces 37-year-old Limond at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow on Saturday night, live on Sky Sports.
The 26-year-old from Huddersfield beat Chris Jenkins on points at the second attempt in November to claim the title which Limond vacated in April last year due to injury.
Limond, since losing to Anthony Crolla in 2011, has promised to quit if he is beaten again but instead hopes a good night against Nurse will secure a showdown with Ricky Burns, who tops the bill in Glasgow against three-weight world champion Michele Di Rocco for the vacant WBC strap.
However, Nurse (32-2-1), who was originally due to face the 43-fight veteran Limond last April, has other plans.
"I know that if Willie wins and Ricky wins the world title, they'll look to make that fight for a world title in Glasgow. We are not daft, we know how it works, but that's not going to happen," said Nurse.
"He's going to be so up for it too as he knows that the Burns fight is there if everything goes right, but that's not in my plans and I am sure it's not in Michele Di Rocco's plans either.
"We're not here to give wins away, but like I said, we'd be foolish to look at this and not see that Burns vs Limond is what they want to set up.
"There's been a few ups and downs getting this fight on, I was meant to fight Willie a year or so ago but he got injured, and now in a sense he's my mandatory as even though this is a voluntary, he gave the belt up so Chris and I could fight for it and deserves his chance to get it back."
Newcastle's Jon Lewis Dickinson meets Belfast's Tommy McCarthy in an eliminator for the British cruiserweight title on the undercard in Glasgow.
Olympic bronze medallist Anthony Ogogo returns from injury and the exciting Conor Benn fights for the second time in the paid ranks.
Islington Middleweight John Ryder is also in action and there's a host of young Scots on display, including Commonwealth gold medal winner Charlie Flynn, Joe Ham and Lewis Paulin.
