Daniel Jacobs to fight Sergio Mora after missing out on Billy Joe Saunders

Daniel Jacobs says he'll punish "boring" Sergio Mora in September and claims Billy Joe Saunders has swerved the chance to face him.
WBA world middleweight champion Jacobs (31-1-KO28) won his title in August 2014 when he stopped Jarrod Fletcher in five and his most recent defence was a dramatic one; blasting aside Peter Quillin inside a round in Brooklyn.
In Mora (28-4-2-KO9), Jacobs rematches a former world super-welterweight champion he stopped in the second round a year ago - and the New Yorker admits he's tried and failed to arrange a unification clash with WBO champion Saunders.
In an article reported on boxingscene.com, Jacobs said: "We were supposed to have Andy Lee in March or April but those plans got blown up because he lost to Billy Joe Saunders and Saunders doesn't want to fight so plans got pushed back.
"Then we were supposed to fight Sergio in July and plans got pushed back. Billy Joe doesn't want any problems. Billy Joe doesn't consider me a true champion but I'm a key player in the middleweight division. There is no way to go to Daniel Jacobs if you're not trying to fight Triple G.
"Mora is literally the most boring middleweight in the world but we don't have a lot of options so we're going to do the rematch because he knocked me down with the only punch he landed. In the same instance, it's a quick pay day and we move on to bigger and better things."
Saunders (23-0-KO12) won the title from Lee in December 2015 but is yet to make a defence having called off a bout with Max Bursak due to a hand injury.
