Terence Crawford says he is ready to take on Viktor Postol

Terence Crawford has reflected on his early life as he prepares for Saturday's unification clash with Viktor Postol.

WBO super-lightweight king Crawford (28-0-KO20) bids to add Postol's WBC strap to his collection when the pair meet in Las Vegas, and is thankful for all the support he has received over his career.

'Bud' told behindthegloves.com: "I always saw myself here so I was already here. I then just relaxed and let everything go with the flow and let everything fall into place.

"The people that were there for me when I was a kid, telling me to go the gym and who would come and pick me up, they wanted more for my life than I was getting at that time.

"When you're little and you love to fight, normally people will suggest you go and box. If you're going to fight all the time, why don't you try and make something out of it."

Postol (28-0-KO12) recorded an impressive 10th-round victory over Lucas Matthysse in October 2015 and Crawford is enthusiastic over the two providing viewers with entertainment.

Crawford and Postol face-off at the final press conference.

The 28-year-old from Nebraska said: "I'm really excited. I'm just ready for the moment. I'm looking forward to it. [Fans can expect] fireworks.
