Kell Brook inspired by Mike Tyson ahead of Gennady Golovkin bout

Kell Brook will be taking inspiration from former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson as he attempts to produce the best performance of his career when he faces Gennady Golovkin, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
Brook (36-0-KO25), the reigning IBF welterweight champion, is preparing to challenge fellow undefeated fighter and WBA 'Super', IBF and WBC middleweight champion Golovkin (35-0-KO32) at The O2 on September 10.
The 30-year-old is undeterred by the prospect of moving up two weight classes to face the Kazakh knockout specialist, who has become one of the sport's most feared fighters, and cited Tyson's dominant rise to stardom as a relatively small heavyweight as a reason for encouragement.
"People go on about weights, but Mike Tyson wasn't the biggest heavyweight and he was fighting people three or four stone heavier," Brook said.
"He was an animal. You are going to see the best of me, I am at a natural weight at 160 and watch me perform September 10."
He added: "I want to go down in history like my heroes, like Sugar Ray Robinson. They have done massive things and, in the modern day, that's exactly what I want to do.
"I want to be involved in the top fights and beat the top fighters, and GGG is certainly the top fighter out there at the moment."
Brook, who has been training in Fuerteventura with coach Dominic Ingle, insisted his speed had not been affected by the move up in weight and expects his increased punch power to cause Golovkin problems.
The Sheffield-born fighter is also convinced the 34-year-old will bring the best out of him as he attempts to become a two-weight world champion.
"When we stand next to each other there will be no difference, I am bringing the speed to the middleweight division and we are already bringing in big numbers from the power," he added.
"I am ready for this fight and this is what I want to do in this game, to be the best you have to beat the best.
"It doesn't get any bigger than GGG, I will be so sharp and alive that night on September 10. No one has got the best out of me in all my opponents that I have been in with and I want to test myself to the highest I can be in this sport.
"I know on September 10, we are going to see the best in me and I am excited to see what I can do. We know what I can do in the gym, I always seem to do enough, I always find a way to win and it's going to be the same on September 10."
With the fighters boasting 57 knockout victories between them, Brook is expecting a classic bout and is delighted to be giving back to the fans.
"There's going to be massive drama in the fight and, for the fans, it doesn't get any bigger than this. It sold out like lightning and that's what warms my heart that I am giving back to the fans," he said.
"This is the biggest fight in world boxing, I have stepped up and shocked the world with this fight, and I am going to show everyone September 10."
