David Haye has shown off his "longest scar" following surgery to repair the ruptured Achilles he suffered during his defeat to Tony Bellew.

The Londoner sustained the injury during the sixth round of the domestic showdown at the O2 earlier this month.

Haye's corner threw in the towel five rounds later as he tried to scramble back into the ring after being knocked through the ropes by Bellew.

"I'm going to give you guys a little update on how things are going with my leg, I get my cast off today so I can actually see my scar for the first time," Haye said on Snapchat.

"I know a lot of people don't understand what it's like to get a horrendous injury, but when you do it's really nice to have the support of your fans so a big thank you to everybody.
