Anthony Crolla and Darleys Perez weigh in for world title bout

Anthony Crolla and Scott Quigg have successfully weighed in for their world title bouts against Darleys Perez and Kiko Martinez respectively.

Crolla, who is bidding to complete a remarkable story and beat Colombia's Perez to the WBA world lightweight title, weighed in at 9st 8lb 8oz - the same as his opponent - and roared at the crowd in Manchester having tipped the scales.

Crolla told Sky Sports: "I'm in the zone now and it's been a great turn out. I can't thank them enough - this city always gets behind me and I'm going to win the world title for them.

Anthony Crolla is confident of victory against Darleys Perez

"Tomorrow night, I'll have a cool head on me and I've worked too hard to let it slip. It's everything I've ever dreamed of since I was a little boy.

"Perez is fantastic and I'm going in as the underdog but I put in my best performances as an underdog and I'm confident I can do that tomorrow night. I'm going to be world champion."

Scott Quigg and Kiko Martinez weigh in for world title bout

Quigg, who will also enjoy home support when defending his WBA super-bantamweight strap against former IBF champion Martinez, weighed in just four ounces short of the 8st 10lb limit with the visiting Spaniard two ounces lighter.

The Bury fighter told Sky Sports: "I'm feeling good. All the preparation is done and I couldn't be any more ready. These are the fights I'm in boxing for. It's the toughest fight of my career but I'm in the best shape.

Scott Quigg in top shape for defence against Kiko Martinez

"I'm expecting the best Kiko Martinez I've seen but I'm more than ready for him. I'm ready to dig deep every round. My boxing technique has improved 20 or 30 per cent since my last fight.

"I wouldn't want to train alongside anyone else besides Anthony Crolla. We've pushed each other and tomorrow is the biggest night of both our careers. This is what I've come in to boxing for."

A huge night of boxing at the Manchester Arena also features Martin Murray v Mirzet Bajrektarevic and two British title fights.
