The first round comes to a conclusion with Jelle Klaasen, Vincent van der Voort, Dave Chisnall and Kim Huybrechts in action on a bumper Thursday night at Alexandra Palace.
Some big names are in action too with all the preliminary games done and dusted, we have four outstanding fixtures on the card.
The all-Dutch battle between former Lakeside champion Klaasen and debutant Jeffrey de Graaf opens the night in north London.
Klaasen, 32, famously won the BDO title against fellow Dutchman Raymond van Barneveld in 2006 and he reached the semi-finals of the PDC tournament last year before being thrashed by eventual champion Gary Anderson.
The fast-paced Van der Voort plays Germany's former world youth champion Max Hopp in an intriguing second match of the night.
Then No 7 seed Chisnall meets Austria's Rowby-John Rodriguez with the St Helens' thrower aiming to go beyond the last 16 for the first time in his career this time around.
Huybrechts rounds off the evening against Ally Pally debutant James Wilson with the Belgian ace, a 2012 quarter-finalist, seeking a meeting with the winner between Van der Voort and Hopp after Christmas.
Jelle Klaasen (10) v Jeffrey de Graaf
Vincent van der Voort (20) v Max Hopp
Dave Chisnall (7) v Rowby-John Rodriguez
Kim Huybrechts (13) v James Wilson
