Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor delivered an emotional interview about his impending retirement on Saturday night.
Taylor beat Justin Pipe 4-0 in the second round of the World Darts Championship to extend his legacy but insisted he would "well up" if he gazed into the Ally Pally crowd.
The 16-time world champion also touched on his match against Pipe, who was booed throughout for allegedly coughing to distract a previous opponent in his last match.
"I've got 30 years experience but I've never played in a game like that," he said. "Trust me, it wasn't nice.
"I didn't feel sorry for him, I felt sorry for his family."
The 2018 World Championship from Alexandra Palace continues on Wednesday December 27.
