"The big one is the World Matchplay which I have my eye on" - Michael van Gerwen is targeting glory in Blackpool this summer.
The world No 1 continues to dominate the darting landscape as he picked up his 25th European Tour title, and his fifth of 2018, as he lifted the Gibraltar Darts Trophy on Sunday.
Van Gerwen now has his sights set on the forthcoming European Tour events and the World Matchplay, starting on July 21st - live on Sky Sports.
The Dutch ace, who who has lost just one game on the European Tour this year, remains firmly on course for breaking his record of 26 PDC titles in a year.
"The big one is the World Matchplay which I have my eye on, but first of all I will be focussed on the European Tour events in Copenhagen and Hamburg," Van Gerwen told the official PDC website.
"I like to play in European Tour events, I feel good playing in them - my confidence is there and I feel good so I think they will do well to beat me.
"I think I played a phenomenal game in the final and I think I have earned my holiday, I want to relax now and re-charge my batteries for the events coming up."
Darts is back on your screens on Sky Sports in July for the World Matchplay - nine days of tungsten from Blackpool get underway on Saturday, July 21 and will run through to the final on Sunday, July 29.
