World Darts Championship: Gary Anderson deflects pressure, says Wayne Mardle

Gary Anderson must feel the strain of defending his world title at Alexandra Palace, but does well to deflect the pressure away, says Wayne Mardle.
Despite an average of just under 100, Anderson was made to throw some of his best arrows under pressure to eventually win through.
Although the world No 2 denied he was feeling the heat of having to defend his title, Mardle felt otherwise.
He told Sky Sports: "Anderson is up and running again and he's doing it under pressure. To be a world champion, that's what you have to do.
"It's all about timing and when push comes to shove he held it well.
"Everyone else have said they're under pressure, so why is Gary any different?
"He felt the pressure in the first round, so they'll be some pressure but maybe not as much now. Maybe he's more comfortable.
"Of course there's some pressure - you're there to be shot at - there's always that pressure on.
"This is different. It's just kind of deflection and diverting the pressure away which Gary likes to do."
