Join the debate on Lewis Hamilton's controversial penalty in Belgium

A couple of hours after Lewis Hamilton was celebrating a fine Belgian Grand Prix win he was controversially stripped of the title by FIA stewards. Hamilton was demoted down from first to third place with a retrospective 25 second penalty handed out after his scrap with Kimi Raikkonen. The Briton did cut the chicane after the Finn left him short of room, but Hamilton then obeyed the rules and allowed his rival to go back in front. Later on Hamilton did get in front without question and went on to win, but the penalty still came, although much later after the dust had already settled. Was hamilton harshly punished though or was it just what he deserved? In letting Raikkonen back in front has he obeyed the letter of the law and therefore the penalty is unjust?
