Top constructors set to adapt F60 to improve diffuser

The race to to catch up with Brawn GP, Toyota and Williams is now officially underway with Ferrari confirming it will 'double efforts' to get its diffuser up to scratch. With the International Court of Appeal declaring the trio's 'double-decker' diffusers legal on Wednesday, the remaining seven teams now have to come up with updated versions of their own. Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali confirmed that his team will have to inject extra cash to get on equal footing with the succeeding trio. "We are waiting to hear the reasons the ICA rejected the appeal," Domenicali said. "Unfortunately this decision forces us to intervene on fundamental areas of the car's design in order to be able to compete on an equal footing with some of the teams from a point of view of the technical regulations, and that will take time and money. "We will now double our efforts to get the team back to the highest level of competitiveness."
