RBR headline busy launch day

The attention of the Formula 1 world turns to Jerez today with Sauber, Red Bull and Toro Rosso all launching their new cars on the eve of first test

10am for Sauber, 1pm for Red Bull, 4.30pm for Toro Rosso

The attention of the Formula 1 world turns to Jerez today at the start of the most important week of pre-season so far - with World Champions Red Bull the headline act as three more 2012 cars are launched. With teams being able to turn their backs on the bitterly cold northern European winter for the relatively sunnier climes of southern Spain, the week is set to be a busy one as three more new cars set to join the fray before the teams get to test them in the public gaze for the first time. Although the first four-day test of the winter doesn't get underway until Tuesday, Monday is still a busy day with Sauber, Red Bull and Toro Rosso all unveiling their 2012 cars. Sauber kick things off with their new C31 at 10am UK time, before Red Bull unveil their eagerly-anticipated RB8 on their official website at 1pm. RBR's junior team Toro Rosso will then show off the STR7 at 4.30pm. The new Lotus E20, which launched on Sunday, will also hit the track for the first time on Monday as the team complete a shakedown of the car for filming purposes. After a jam-packed Monday, the test programme gets underway in earnest on Tuesday when the already launched 2012 McLaren, Ferrari, Force India, Caterham and Lotus cars will also be seen in action for the first time.
