Tilke GmbH say track will be ready to host F1 in November
Peter Wahl, managing partner of Tilke GmbH, says that the Circuit of the Americas project in Austin, Texas will be completed before the scheduled Formula One race in November.
Wahl travelled to the United States to see how work was progressing on the $300million circuit, which will host the F1's return to the USA this season.
Having witnessed the development of 56 race tracks during his career, Wahl is confident that the circuit will be completed ahead of schedule.
"It's time to say it's OK. It will work," he told
The Statesman.
"I can already say we will be ready earlier than November. I'm sure it will meet all the requirements of Formula One. It will be one of the best tracks in the world."
