F1 returning to Mexico City's Hermanos Rodriguez circuit

Bernie Ecclestone confirmed on Wednesday that the Mexican Grand Prix will return to the Formula 1 calendar in 2015 after an absence of more than two decades.
Mexican entertainment company CIE had already announced that it has signed a five-year contract with Ecclestone to host the race at the Hermanos Rodriguez track in Mexico City, which it operates.
"I'm happy to announce we've concluded an agreement to have a race in 2015," Ecclestone was quoted on the official Formula 1 website. "Don't miss this race!"
CIE, which describes itself as ‘a pioneer in the out-of-home entertainment industry in Latin America’, also said that full negotiations have yet to be completed.
Named after Mexico’s famous racing brothers Ricardo and Pedro Rodriguez, the 4.421km Hermanos Rodriguez track hosted F1 between 1962 and 1970 and again from 1986 to 1992.
Tavo Hellmund, who helped bring Formula 1 to Austin in 2012, is one of those behind the drive to re-establish the Mexican GP.
"Ever since Bernie and I began working on a race at Austin, it's been a dream of mine to help Formula One return to Mexico," he said.
"This announcement has therefore been years in the making, but we've gradually been able to assemble all the right pieces. I'm absolutely delighted."
There are currently two Mexican drivers, Sergio Perez and Esteban Gutierrez, in Formula 1.
