Silverstone MD Patrick Allen outlines how he has made it easier and more accessible for young people and families to visit the track

Organisers of the British GP at Silverstone have urged fans thinking of attending to book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Tickets for the event, to be held on July 3-5, are now 95 per cent sold out after increased demand in recent months.

In a statement, organisers said that "a combination of factors including recent ticket promotions and a revised child pricing policy have resulted in record sales for this year’s event and only 5 per cent of total capacity remains available to sell".

The statement added: "Following the increased demand in recent months Silverstone has created additional capacity by opening up space in prime viewing locations including at Club and Becketts corner and a limited number of general admission tickets are also still available".

Patrick Allen, managing director of Silverstone, said: “Thanks to recent pricing initiatives and opening up the event to make it more affordable for families we are now almost full.

“Demand has been tremendous and we are 95 percent sold and predicting that 2015 will be a record breaking crowd.”
