Ted was also on hand to conduct the podium interviews afterwards, with Lewis Hamilton narrowly holding off Nico Rosberg to claim his fourth win at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

As a result, Hamilton has opened up a 17-point gap over his Mercedes team-mate in the drivers' championship, with Williams driver Valtteri Bottas finishing third ahead of Ferrari pair Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel.

Elsewhere, there was disappointment for last year's winner Daniel Ricciardo, who finished a lapped 13th, while there was frustration for McLaren-Honda, whose drivers Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button both retired.
