Australian puts latest comments behind him to take second row at Interlagos
Mark Webber insists his mind is on the Formula One title chase despite the latest behind the scenes wrangling at Red Bull.
The Australian continues to insist he is second in the pecking order at RBR, and although team management has tried to diffuse the situation, Webber's future remains as uncertain as ever.
Nonetheless, he qualified third for the Brazilian Grand Prix on Saturday and, with just 11 points between himself and championship leader Fernando Alonso, he says he is only focused on securing the title.
"When I'm in the car, I'm absolutely focused," said Webber. "My mind is completely clear, which we've seen from my performances in the last five or six races.
"Obviously the last one in Korea didn't turn out as expected, but then none of us have had perfect seasons.
"With that exception I've been very happy with the way I've driven, and you can't drive like the way I have done if you're not happy.
"With the boys on the floor (his mechanics) we're all in great spirits to go and have a good race tomorrow. That's our focus."
