Manor have revealed their first new car since 2014, the MRT05, as they target a march up the grid in 2016.

Having used a modified version of their 2014 car and a year old Ferrari unit last year, the team have spent the best part of a year working on the MRT05 which will be paired with the class-leading Mercedes hybrid engine this year.

Rebranded as Manor Racing for 2016, the team is barely recognisable from the one which was on track at last year's finale in Abu Dhabi.

Following the departures of Graeme Lowdon and John Booth, an aggressive recruitment process has seen the arrival of several big names to the team's management structure. Former McLaren man Dave Ryan has joined as sporting director, with ex-Ferrari designer Nikolas Tombazis appointed chief aerodynamicist and fellow Scuderia exile Pat Fry arriving an as engineering consultant.

Manor finished last in the Constructors' Championship in 2015, failing to score a point, but are confident they will prove more competitive this term.

"I am confident that, together with our new Mercedes power unit and Williams gearbox and technical partnership, our new aero structure will provide us with the strength to design and develop consistently competitive racing cars," said technical director John McQuilliam.
