Sky Sports F1 gives you the perfect build-up to the British Grand Prix this weekend

Sky Sports F1 is giving you the perfect build-up to the British Grand Prix this coming weekend.

The 'Great British Summer of Sport' is here. In other words, the weather is rubbish and England have been knocked out of the football. Andy Murray is still in the Wimbledon draw and, of course, our fingers are crossed. But it's early days yet in SW19. So shall we try and lighten the air and cast our eyes instead towards a place where deeds have been done of which we can feel justly proud? A place that is actually synonymous with national sporting over-performance? That place is Silverstone, venue for next weekend's British Grand Prix - a race previewed, and celebrated, on Sky Sports F1 this coming weekend. For starters, you can relive the last five races. From 2007, when Lewis Hamilton was enjoying life as the nation's new darling; through his incredible win in atrocious conditions the following year; from Red Bull's emergence as a grandee up to the grandest team of all winning 12 months ago, we are showing each of them on Saturday and Sunday evenings. You can also delve even further into the past with highlights of the 1950, 1958 and 1964 races, alongside a classic 1963 interview with Sir Stirling Moss, himself a two-time British Grand Prix winner. Then there's the small matter of The F1 Show, in which Ted and Georgie will be picking the bones out of Valencia as well as looking forward to this weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed (itself covered on Sky Sports during the weekend) and speaking to Sauber's Kamui Kobayashi and Monisha Kaltenborn. So there you have it: the perfect build-up to the main event...and you won't even need an umbrella. On Sky Sports F1 this weekend... Friday
