Mark Webber has apologised to the Red Bull team after crashing during Friday practice for the Turkish Grand Prix, the Australian admitting the accident was 100 percent his fault.
Thirty minutes into the afternoon's second session, Webber lost control of his car, running across the track and hitting the barriers head-on.
Although Webber was unhurt in the accident there was significant damage to his RB4 car, which his mechanics will have to repair overnight in order to ready him for both Saturday morning's practice and then qualifying.
"Going off the track at Turn 6 was 100 percent my fault," Webber admitted. "I didn't respect the green Astroturf that sits on the outside of the track enough.
"I was a bit too loaded up on the outside of the track, the Astroturf was a bit damp, and I went off, it was my fault.
"I apologise to the guys and we'll bounce back from this tomorrow."
Webber finished the session down in 19th place while team-mate David Coulthard finished an encouraging fourth quickest.
