Bookies offer huge array of markets for Brazilian showdown

Sky Bet are offering a vast array of markets ahead of Sunday's F1 finale in São Paulo, with betting available on everything from fastest qualifier and race winner to odds on which driver will make the first pit stop. Lewis Hamilton is 1/7 to win his maiden world title, while Brazilian hero, Felipe Massa, who needs to come first or second at Interlagos to keep his title hopes alive, is quoted at 4/1. Hamilton goes into the weekend's final race with a seven-point lead in the standings and Sky Bet offer 9/4 for him to win the title by a margin of ten points or more. Massa is quoted at 12/1 to win by a point and 33/1 is quoted for the title to be decided on count-back.

Lesson learned

"It's pretty hard to see Lewis blowing his chances once again, and the Brit looks sure to have learnt his lessons from last year," says Sky Bet F1 odds compiler Dave Pilgrim. "For our outright book however, we wouldn't be losing any sleep if Massa does come away from Brazil as world champion." In a match bet between Hamilton and Massa, the Brit is 11/8 to lead more laps than Massa (8/15). British drivers are 11/10 to score more points in total in Interlagos than the Brazilians (8/11), with the tie quoted at 14/1. Sky Bet are also offering odds on which driver will make the first pit stop in Brazil and make Fernando Alonso 2/1 favourite. Massa is 5/2 to enter the pits first on Sunday, with Lewis Hamilton quoted at 3/1. With the title battle once again going down to the wire, the possibility of a collision cannot be ruled out and Sky Bet quote 16/1 for Hamilton and Massa to crash, 16/1 for the Brit to collide with reigning champion Kimi Raikkonen and 12/1 for him to crash with former team-mate, Fernando Alonso.

Rain expected

Wet conditions are anticipated, which could favour Hamilton, who relishes driving in the rain and he is 7/4 to win the race. Odds of 11/10 are quoted for the safety car to come out. Pilgrim added: "Punters looking for value in the markets could do worse than keep a sharp eye on the weather forecasts - with rain likely to play a significant part in shaping the weekend. "Drivers such as Jenson Button, Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel excel when the track gets a bit slippery." The driver starting from pole has gone on to win the race seven times this season. Hamilton is 2/7 to qualify on the front row (5/2 not to have a front-row start) and 6/5 to out-qualify his title rival, Massa (8/13). Hamilton is 9/1 to pull off a race 'hat-trick' by starting on pole, winning the race and recording the fastest lap.
