Brazilian back behind the wheel
Felipe Massa has continued his return to full fitness with two practice runs for Ferrari at Mugello.
The Brazilian managed 30 laps in a F2007 on Tuesday, his first genuine stint behind the wheel of a Formula One car since his horrific accident in Hungary in July.
Adverse weather conditions meant that Massa was only able to run in the afternoon and his time on track was cut short as darkness closed in.
Despite the disrupted day, the 28-year-old said he was delighted with the experience.
"I'm happy that I could get into this car and it's always a pleasure driving on a track like Mugello," said Massa.
"Everything went well: it's a pity that I could only drive in the afternoon."
However, after a second outing on Wednesday, Massa said the run had been more physically challenging.
"Even though I trained a lot over the last months, certain muscles important for driving were a bit sleepy," he added.
"I had a bit of pain in my neck, especially on the fast corners which make this one of the toughest tracks.
"As for the rest I felt good and felt no difference from before the accident."
