Stefan GP, who are targeting a place on the F1 grid despite having yet to be granted an entry, are to test their car in Portugal.
Budding Serbian team also send equipment to Bahrain
The Stefan GP team, who are targeting a place on the 2010 Formula One grid despite having yet to be granted an entry slot, have announced that they are to test their car this month.
In a statement on their website, the Serbian operation added that they were also shipping equipment to Bahrain ahead of the first race of the season on March 14.
"First tests for Stefan GP will be in Portugal at Portimao test track, on 25-28 February 2010," the statement said.
"Identity of drivers will be announced in due course. First driver has already two years in F1."
Kazuki Nakajima, who raced with Williams for two seasons before being dropped at the end of last year, has been linked to the outfit.
The Japanese driver is backed by Toyota, which quit F1 at the end of last season but which has since entered into a deal with Stefan GP to provide technical assistance.
They have established a base at Toyota's Cologne factory, where the Japanese manufacturer had already designed its 2010 car prior to the withdrawal announcement.
Run by businessman Zoran Stefanovic, Stefan GP failed to secure a slot as one of four new teams granted places for this season but are preparing regardless in case there is a withdrawal.
