Scunthorpe v Tranmere preview

Team news ahead of Saturday's League One clash between Scunthorpe and Tranmere at Glanford Park.

Scunthorpe striker Jordan Robertson is nearing a return, although the clash will come too soon. Robertson has been sidelined since breaking his ankle in August but, despite initial assessments suggesting he would not be back in the fold until December, is set to resume training next week. Damien Mozika will once again miss out as he continues to struggle with the ankle injury that has ruled him out of the Iron's last two matches. Goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, on loan from Manchester United, is doubtful with a dislocated finger, but there could be a place for Niall Canavan after the defender returned to training this week. Matt Godden (hip/hernia), Josh Lillis and Jimmy Ryan (both knee) remain long-term absentees. Tranmere may be boosted by the return of Enoch Showunmi for the trip. The striker missed Rovers' impressive 2-0 win at Hartlepool on Tuesday after sustaining a groin injury in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Walsall. However, manager Les Parry is hoping he will be available for the clash at Glanford Park. He told the club's official website: "There's a chance he might be available for Saturday. On Tuesday there was a chance that if we'd played him we'd have put him out for a few weeks." Andy Robinson came on for 15 minutes at Victoria Park following a hamstring problem, while Mark McChrystal - who has been suffering with a foot injury - is back in training. Both could line up against the Iron, alongside Jose Baxter after the striker extended his loan from Everton by a further month on Thursday. Martin Devaney (hamstring) is doubtful, though.
