Ajax have been dealt a blow with the news that Zdenek Grygera has picked up an injury.
Ajax have been dealt a blow with the news that Czech Republic defender Zdenek Grygera is set for at least a month on the sidelines.
The talented stopper pulled up sharply in training on Friday and tests have confirmed damage to a calf muscle and he is likely to be sidelined for Ajax's UEFA Champions League clashes with Internazionale.
Grygera is definitely out of the weekend's clash with RBC Roosendaal and the meeting with Inter next Wednesday, while it would take a major improvement in his condition to make him available for the return leg.
Having seen a number of key players leave in January, this latest setback is a major blow for coach Danny Blind.
"This is a considerable setback," Blind told the club's website.
