Ajax managed to emerge 3-0 winners over Feyenoord despite being reduced to 10-men in Amsterdam.

Viktor Fischer struck twice in the first half and Siem De Jong added a third just after the hour mark to put the home side in command before Ricardo Van Rhijn was sent off.

But Feyenoord were unable to find a way back into the game in the final half an hour, allowing Ajax to keep the pressure on league leaders Twente.

Elsewhere, FC Utrecht remain sixth in the standings after a 2-0 win away to FC Groningen.

Alexander Gerndt opening the scoring from the spot on 55 minutes and Mike van der Hoorn sealed the three points with a second goal just 10 minutes later.

Roda JC also ran out 2-0 winners on Sunday as they were quick off the mark to beat NEC.

A first-minute goal from Sanharib Malki set them on their way before adding a second through Mikolaj Lebedysnki midway through the second half.

Kevin Jansen gave the visitors the lead on 20 minutes, but Hans Mulder equalised 10 minutes from time.
