Dublin lead way in Ladies Football All Star nominations

All-Ireland champions Dublin lead the way in the nominations for the Ladies Gaelic football All Star awards.

The All-Ireland winners have 14 players on the shortlist, followed closely by finalists Cork who have 12. Beaten All-Ireland semi-finalists Donegal and Galway have eight and three respectively, Kerry have two while Armagh, Cavan, Mayo, Sligo, Tipperary and Tyrone all have representation.

This is further recognition for the Dubs after they beat Cork in the All-Ireland final in front of a record crowd of 50,141 at Croke Park.
