Club football round-up: Ballymun upset in Dublin

We bring you up to date with all the big results from around the country after a major weekend of club football action.

Dublin SFC

Ballymun were the high profile casualties in the quarter-finals at Parnell Park this weekend. The star-studded Kickhams side were upset by St Jude's, falling to a 1-11 to 2-09 defeat.

Meanwhile, Kilmacud Crokes, Ballyboden and St Vincent's all won through to the semi-finals, with Diarmuid Connolly making his long-awaited return for the Marino outfit.

Kerry SFC

Paul Geaney led the way for Dingle as they saw off Austin Stacks in the quarter-final. There were better fortunes for Stacks' Tralee neighbours, Kerins O'Rahillys who recorded a two-point win over St Brendan's.

Dr Crokes and East Kerry are the other two sides through to the last four, after wins over Killarney Legion and South Kerry respectively.

Waterford SFC

Kilrossanty are through to the county final, after beating An Rinn 3-16 to 0-12 to reach the decider for the first time in 18 years.

Tipperary SFC

Clonmel Commercials recorded a 0-17 to 0-04 win over Kilsheelan-Kilcash, while Ardfinnan beat Ballyporeen Clonmel Óg 0-22 to 0-09. Clonmel and Ardfinnan join Loughmore Castleiney and Moyle Rovers in the last four.

Kildare SFC

Cellbridge and Naas picked up wins over Carbury and St Laurence's in the quarter-finals, to join Moorefield and Athy in the last four.

Meath SFC

Summerhill will face St Peter's Dunboyne in the Meath SFC final after the weekend's semi-finals. St Peter's were too strong for Simonstown, winning 2-16 to 0-08, while Summerhill ran out eight-point winners over Donaghmore/Ashbourne.

Roscommon SFC

St Brigid's will defend their title against Clann na nGael in the final, after they accounted for Strokestown on Saturday. Clann na nGael edged Roscommon Gaels by a single point.

Down SFC

Kilcoo are into their eighth final in ten years after beating Cumann Pheadair Naofa 1-13 to 2-06. They will face Burren, who beat Mayobridge 5-12 to 2-11.

Tyrone SFC

Ardboe O'Donovan Rossa, Coalisland Fianna GFC, Edendork St Malachy's and Killyclogher are all through to the semi-finals after the weekend's action, as reigning champions Omagh St Enda's crashed out.

Donegal SFC

Gaoth Dobhair will face Sean MacCumhaills in the Donegal semi-final, after the Gaeltacht side scored an eye-catching 8-13 in their win over Bundoran.

Meanwhile, Naomh Conaill will face Glenswilly in the other semi-final.
