Padraic Maher switches away from full-back in Tipperary team
Saturday 2 February 2019 10:34, UK
Tipperary hurling manager Liam Sheedy has elected not to play Padraic Maher at full-back against Limerick, after the Thurles Sarsfields club man donned the No 3 jersey in recent weeks in Tipp's two games against Clare.
Maher previously had stints on the edge of the square in 2010 and 2014, and was put back there in January to cover the area.
However, he has been moved back out to the half-back line for Saturday's trip to Limerick, with 2016 All-Star James Barry returning to the fold, flanked by Donagh Maher and Alan Flynn.
Barry comes in for Cathal Barrett in the only personnel change from last week's win over the Banner.
The Premier boast big names on the bench, with Jason Forde and John 'Bubbles' O'Dwyer ready to come in.
One league debut in strong Treaty team
Tipp will be eager to get one over on the All-Ireland champions, after they suffered a loss to the Treaty last May.
