Here's all you need to know, ahead of coverage getting underway on Saturday from 1am on Sky Sports Golf…
What is it and where will it be played?
The event sees 24 former professional footballers split into two teams, one from England one from the rest of the world, with both captained by former Ryder Cup players.
It takes place for the second successive year at Reignwood Park Golf Course in Thailand. It's an 18-hole course that has the same owners as the iconic Wentworth Club in Surrey - home of the DP World Tour.
All matches will be played over 10 holes, using a Ryder Cup-style match play, with a variety of formats used and plenty of extra ways for players to earn points for their teams.
Who are the captains?
Danny Willett, the 2016 Masters champion and eight-time DP World Tour winner, captains Team England. Team World will be captain by Thomas Bjorn, who led Europe to victory in the 2018 Ryder Cup.
Both captains will not feature as players and succeed Lee Westwood and Sergio Garcia, who captained the two teams for the 2025 edition.
Who features for Team England?
Correct as of January 28:
Jimmy Bullard, Andy Cole, Robbie Fowler, Joe Hart, Paul Ince, Phil Jagielka, Jermaine Jenas, Phil Jones, Lee Sharpe, Teddy Sheringham, John Terry and Theo Walcott
Who features for Team World?
Correct as of January 28:
Gareth Bale, Gabriel Batistuta, Ryan Giggs, David Ginola, Ruud Gullit, Nigel de Jong, Henrik Larsson, Aaron Ramsey, John Arne Riise, Andriy Shevchenko, Dwight Yorke, Gianfranco Zola
What is the format?
The tournament is split into four sessions, with point awarded in each match an helping to contribute to a team's overall score.
The opening session is played in fourballs, where two players from Team England go up against two from Team World. The player who takes the fewest shots on a hole wins the hole for their team.
The next two sessions use the 'greensomes' format, where each pair picking the best of their two tee shots and then using that ball to play the rest of the hole in alternate shots. The team with the lowest score wins that hole.
The final session is singles, where each member of Team England will go up against a counterpart from Team World in a 10-hole match.
How does scoring work?
Each match is played over 10 holes and has match play scoring in place - like what we're used to seeing at the Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup. A match win is worth one point for a team, although a bonus point will be on offer matches win by a score of 4up or more.
There are 'home' and 'away' holes during each match, with Team World's home hole being the sixth and Team England's the ninth. If the away wins the hole, it's worth double in that match.
The 10th and final hole is also worth double, increasing the importance of every shot in every match!
A bonus point will be on offer on Saturday for 'shot of the day', with viewers at home selecting their favourite shot from four options before that then gets added to a team's overall score.
What time does play start and when is coverage live on Sky Sports?
Sky Sports will have extended coverage from both days, with the action live on Sky Sports Golf from 1am on both Saturday and Sunday.
Coverage of the second session is from 6.30am on Saturday and 6am on Sunday, with those available live in full on Sky Sports+ and on Sky Sports Golf until the start of the Bahrain Championship.
The opening fourballs session begins at 8.30am local time on Saturday (1.30am UK time), with the second session due to get underway at 6.35am UK time.
Sunday's alternate shot action begins at 1am UK time, with the final-session singles beginning around 6am that morning (1pm in Bangkok) and following the action until the final putt has been made.
Who won last year's contest?
Team England won three of the four sessions to claim an emphatic 72-33 over Team World in last year's tournament, where they dominated the final-session singles to extend their winning margin.
