European Tour stats package
A number of big names will be teeing it up including Ernie Els, Paul Casey, Martin Kaymer, Sergio Garcia, Robert Karlsson, Ross Fisher, Alvaro Quiros and Ross Fisher, while legendary figures Bernhard Langer, Sir Nick Faldo and Colin Montgomerie will also be competing.
Located approximately 12 miles north-east of Munich, Nord-Eichenried is one of the lowest-scoring venues on Tour.
It is extremely flat, with water coming into play on 10 holes and, in 13 previous Tour hostings, the highest winning 72-hole total has been 275. The lowest is a particularly low 261.
So who will hope to contend in Munich?
Paul Casey: Returns to Europe in the hope of boosting his flagging Ryder Cup points tally. Has enjoyed three top-three finishes at this week's venue but arrives in Germany after failing to remain inside the top 40 at last week's US Open.
Ernie Els: Makes a rare trip to Germany where he has never won a professional tournament. The 40-year-old South African has won twice this season on the PGA Tour and, in last week's Major at Pebble Beach, finished two shots behind winner Graeme McDowell.
Raphael Jacquelin: The stylish Frenchman enjoyed a satisfactory time on home soil last week when he tied-for-second at the Saint Omer Open.
Martin Kaymer: Tees-up on home soil following his respectable top-10 finish in the US Open.
Soren Kjeldsen: The quiet Dane has served-up seven top-25 finishes in Munich during the past 10 years. He played well for three days at Pebble Beach last week before slumping to a final round 78 on Sunday.
Danny Willett: Ninth on his Munich debut last year and four top-10 finishes to his credit on Tour this season.
