Daniel Berger will take a three-shot lead into the final round of the FedEx St Jude Classic after posting a round of 69 on day three in Memphis.

Playing in his 50th PGA Tour event, the 23-year-old had been three shots clear overnight and retained that advantage, bouncing back from a double-bogey at 14 with two birdies in his last three holes.

Berger has yet to win on Tour, having twice finished second, but he has a handy advantage going into Sunday, having reached 10-under-par for the tournament.

However, his lead would have been larger had he not dumped his tee-shot at the par-three 14th into the water, leading to a double-bogey five.

But he responded positively with a birdie at the par-five 16th, before chipping in from off the green for a birdie at the 17th.

DA Points carded a 64, the joint-lowest round of the week so far, to move 33 spots up the leaderboard on Sunday. He made six birdies in all and has not had a single bogey in 29 holes.
