The best five shots from Tiger Woods at the Valspar Championship as he set the pulses racing with his best tournament performance since 2013.

Tiger Woods set the pulses racing at the Valspar Championship as he chased his first PGA Tour victory since 2013, and he produced a number of impressive shots at Innisbrook.

The former world No 1 would eventually come up one shot behind worthy winner Paul Casey, but his form in just his fourth start since returning to competition following back surgery suggests he still has what it takes to compete for more titles.

Woods was particularly dialled in with his irons over the tough Copperhead Course at the Tampa resort, and he evoked memories of the Big Cat at his entertaining best with some superb escapology from the trees in the second round.

But the biggest roar from the substantial galleries came at the 17th hole on Sunday when, needing a birdie-birdie finish to force a play-off, Woods gave himself a chance with a perfect 45-foot putt for a two.
