Trevor Immelman and Adam Scott are tied for the lead after the first round of the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa.
The pair shot five-under-par first rounds of 67 and sit one shot clear of the English duo of Luke Donald and Justin Rose.
Home favourite Ernie Els is tied for fifth in the 12-man field, two shots off the pace alongside Geoff Ogilvy of Australia.
South African Immelman made a blistering start to his round, firing four birdies on the first four holes.
Eagle
He reached the turn in 30 thanks to an eagle at the ninth and picked up another shot at the 10th to move to seven under.
However, he was pegged back by bogeys at the 11th and 12th holes before making six successive pars on the way home.
Scott made birdies at the third and ninth holes to turn in 34, before making up ground on Immelman on the back nine.
He improved his score with birdies at the 10th and 12th holes, before hitting the top of the leaderboard with an eagle at the 14th.
The only blemish on the Australian's scorecard came with a bogey at the par-four 15th.
Donald is tied for third thanks to a run of four birdies in five holes after the turn, while European Order of Merit winner Rose carded four birdies in an error-free round.
