New USPGA champion YE Yang has joined Tiger Woods, Paul Casey, Geoff Ogilvy, Camilo Villegas and Retief Goosen in qualifying for Volvo World Match Play Championship in Spain in October. All six players have earned qualification for the event as the leading players from different regions of the world. They will now decide whether they are available for the event which is to be staged at the Finca Cortesin Golf Club in Casares, Andalucia. They join Ernie Els and Scott Strange in the field, Els having qualified as the 2007 winner at Wentworth - it was not held last year - and Australian Strange as this season's winner of the Volvo China Open. The remaining eight spots and any vacancies will be filled later off the world rankings and the European Tour's "Race To Dubai" money list.
