European Tour stats package
Most of Europe's bigger names have remained in the region following Sunday's exiting finale in Abu Dhabi.
For the second straight week, the tournament venue is a Peter Harradine-design and similar to his Abu Dhabi layout the Doha course has plenty of water hazards.
Wind is also usually a factor in Qatar, as are the numerous dog-legs on the 14-year-old course.
So who should be in the frame this weekend?
Sergio Garcia: Has tied-for-seventh in each of his last two visits to Qatar. Endured a topsy-turvy week in Abu Dhabi but did enough to post a tied-13th finish. His tournament was ruined by a third round 74.
Retief Goosen: Winner in 2007, Goosen has already enjoyed a brace of top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour during 2010 - both in Hawaii.
Louis Oosthuizen: Second in Qatar last year and fifth in Abu Dhabi at the weekend.
Kenny Perry: Makes a rare visit to Europe but can not be discounted as a possible winner.
Charl Schwartzel: Man of the moment on the European Tour following back-to-back wins in South Africa earlier this month. Schwartzel is chasing a third victory in as many starts and has not been outside the top 25 in his last five visits to Doha.
Henrik Stenson: His last five appearances in Qatar read: 2nd-Won-7th-2nd-2nd and his most recent 20 rounds at Doha average 68.50.
