Jessica Ennis-Hill has vowed to come back even stronger next year ready for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The 29-year-old stormed to her second World Championship heptathlon gold in Beijing last month – just over a year after giving birth to her first child.
Ennis-Hill admitted she surprised even herself at the Championships and, after some time to recharge, the Sheffield resident wants to be in even better physical condition for the Games next August.
She told Sky Sports News HQ: "Two weeks before I flew out I didn't know if I'd be ready to go to Beijing and contend for a medal.
"So to actually get there in one piece, feel happy and confident, and be able to put those seven events together definitely exceeded my expectations.
"I think I need to go away now and work on some areas in training, and get stronger and in much better shape. Hopefully I can do that over the winter and come back stronger next year.
"I'm going to have a holiday and a rest with the family and then get back into training ready for Brazil next year."
