British Basketball League: Surrey Heat go second with victory over Sheffield Sharks
Sunday 14 October 2012 20:13, UK
Surrey Heat inflicted a fourth straight loss on One Health Sharks Sheffield with a 79-63 victory in Sunday BBL action.
Glasgow Rocks registered their first home win of the season by edging Manchester Giants 88-85 to reach the BBL Cup quarter-finals. It was always looking like it would go until the last few seconds and so it proved. However, the Giants and Devan Bailey in particular, will be disappointed at missing far too many free-throws, the guard missed four in a row inside the last two minutes and it proved to be costly. EJ Harrison was the star performer for the Rocks and fittingly, he was the man with the composure during crunch time to get the Rocks safely over the line and set up a last eight encounter at Sheffield.
